The Cornerstone is Kenora’s fine dining restaurant in the heart of downtown. We are located in a heritage building on Main Street, just steps away from Lake of the Woods.

At the Cornerstone, we have been serving fantastic dishes featuring flavours that celebrate northwestern Ontario, since 2009. On the corner of Main and Second, our restaurant is the top place to eat when you’re downtown. In the summer months there is no better place to enjoy the company of friends and family than our deck overlooking the Harbourfront. In addition to great food you can enjoy great music while you’re visiting us at the Lake. We are often host to a variety of musical acts.

OUR PLEDGE TO GO GREEN

In 2018, we decided to remove plastic straws, plastic ramekins, and styrofoam from our restaurant as a way to help the environment.

When we launched our new menu in 2018 we were inspired to do more reducing, reusing and recycling. While we’re starting out with small changes, we know we’ll do more every year. We’ve already reduced dishwashing (and wastewater) by only pouring water for customers when they ask for it. We’ve also replaced our styrofoam take-out containers with recycled paper. Plus, we now use biodegradable straws instead of single-use plastic. Read more about some of the changes we’ve made in this CBC News article.
